The Road to the Shop: Week 2

Week 2

This week it was time to pour the cement. We decided to rent a cement mixer instead of trying to mix almost 80 bags of concrete in a wheel barrel and let me tell you, money well spent. Kade woke up early that day and met his dad and together loaded their pickups with the concrete. You can see how loaded down it made Kade's truck. By the end of the day the cement had been poured with only one trip to the Depot!

The Road to the Shop: Week 1

Week 1 Well, Kade has decided it is time to build his shop in the backyard. As each week passes I will be updating you on the progress. I am a few weeks behind but I have taken pictures as each week it gets worked on.

This week Kade and I, with the help of his parents, dug up the grass and framed where the shop would go. I was a little nervous because it seem liked we pulled out a lot of grass but the end result looked great!

Cali Trip

Well we finally were able to get away for a few days which was nice considering it was snowing when we flew out! We stayed with our friends Ryan and Shelly who live in Corona. We spent Friday at the beach and the weather could not have been more perfect. It was 75 degrees with a slight breeze. Kimber loved the beach and was crawling around everywhere, however, most of the beach ended up in her mouth or in her diaper. :) Kimber wasn't a fan of the ocean, the water was still a little too cold for her but as long as the water did not go up past her ankles she was ok. That night we ate dinner at In-N-Out, the best buger place in the world with the best strawberry shakes! Saturday I was able to get Kade to go shopping with me. I don't know why he won't come more often, he does a great job finding cute clothes for me and we sometimes get him a shirt or two as well. :) We bought Kimber the cutest Nike shoes, now all she has to do is start walking before her feet get too big for them. We came home Sunday morning and it was sad to leave Cali and our friends but it only gave us an excuse to go back. Thanks again Cook's for a fun time!
